Hometown PBIS Day of Play

Hometown PBIS Day of Play

On Friday, March 1, Hometown School participated in a school wide Day of Play. Day of Play was a end of Tri 2 celebration sponsored by the PBIS team.  PBIS is a school wide program that reinforces positive behavior seen throughout our building.  Teachers and staff members reward students with Hornet Stinger coupons when they see students helping one another, working hard or other positive behaviors. Students were encouraged to bring in their favorite games to share with the class. Students brought in favorites such as Uno, Don't Break the Ice, Candyland and Jenga. Volunteers came into the classrooms to facilitate the games. These moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas enjoyed an afternoon of playing. Their inner child was released as they fell down the chute in Chutes and Ladders or lost their marbles while playing Ker-plunk! A huge thank you to everyone who came in to spend the afternoon with our students
