A Sweet Start to the Day. Happy Grandparent's Day
On September 8, Hometown Elementary opened our doors early as we hosted Goodies with Grandparents, a special event organized by our wonderful PTA. The morning began with grandparents and special guests arriving to be greeted with warm smiles, and delicious treats accompanied by their grandchildren. The PTA did an outstanding job creating a welcoming atmosphere, complete with donuts, coffee, juice, and a cozy space for families to gather and enjoy time together before the school day began.
Events like Goodies with Grandparents remind us how strong our school community is and how valuable it is to involve loved ones in the school experience. For some students, this was a once-in-a-year moment to share their school world with someone special. The smiles, hugs, and happy conversations were a true highlight of the week.
We’re so thankful to our PTA for organizing such a thoughtful and well-run event and to all the grandparents and guests who took the time to join us. Your presence made the morning extra special and left lasting memories for our students. We look forward to continuing this heartwarming tradition for years to come!
