Meet our new assistant principal Mrs. Vines
Q. How has your first month at Hometown been?
My first month has been very busy, but it has been great! I have been at Hometown for a long time, but this new position has taught me a lot of new things. I am getting to know students and their families in all the different grade levels, and that has been really neat.
Q: What has impressed you most about the school so far?
There have been a lot of things that have impressed me, but I think the entire staff has impressed me the most. It is amazing to see how so many people come together in different capacities to make the school run. EVERYONE works very hard to make Hometown School a great place!
Q: Any favorite moments from your first month?
I think my favorite moment so far was when one student told another student that I am the new “student principal”!
Q: What are you looking forward to?
I am looking forward to learning more about each grade level and different departments. I want to observe classrooms to see what all the students are learning, so I can better understand and support the teachers.
