Joy filled the room when students got to participate in the music.
Students in Hometown Elementary’s CASE special education classrooms recently enjoyed a special visit from a music therapist from Prospect Music Therapy. Through music, movement, and interactive activities, students had the opportunity to engage in a fun and meaningful experience designed to support communication, self-expression, and social-emotional growth.
During the session, students sang songs, explored instruments, and participated in activities that encouraged participation, focus, and connection with others. The music-filled environment created many smiles and gave students creative ways to express themselves while building confidence and engagement.
Teachers and staff loved seeing students actively involved and excited throughout the visit. The experience brought joy, energy, and meaningful interaction to the classrooms, making it a memorable opportunity for everyone involved.
Hometown Elementary is thankful to Prospect Music Therapy for spending time with our students and providing such a positive and engaging experience for our CASE program.
