Making It Official: The Class of 2039 Signs On

Kindergarten Signing Day

A future Hornet signs on the dotted line

Excitement filled the halls on Thursday, May 21, as incoming kindergarten students and their families gathered for this year’s Kindergarten Orientation. The event gave future Hornets a warm welcome while helping families learn more about the school community and what to expect in the year ahead.

One of the highlights of the evening was the special “Kindergarten Signing Day,” inspired by college athlete signing ceremonies. Students proudly “signed” their commitment to becoming future Hornets, posing for photos and celebrating this important milestone with their families.

Parents also had the opportunity to learn about the kindergarten curriculum and hear about the exciting academic and social experiences their children will enjoy throughout the school year. Staff members shared information about classroom routines, learning goals, and ways families can support students at home.

Families also heard from the PTA, who introduced opportunities for parents to get involved and support school events throughout the year. The school nurse provided important health information and answered questions to help families prepare for a smooth start to kindergarten.

The evening was filled with smiles, excitement, and school spirit as students took their first steps toward beginning their educational journey. We are thrilled to welcome our newest Hornets and look forward to an amazing year ahead!
