Who's Got Swagle Spirit?

Mrs. Lee, Sward's Art Teacher

Mrs. Lee’s Art Classroom explodes with positivity and inspiration. “This is my first year teaching art in an elementary school, and I just love everything about Sward.  I have become very attached to my students.”

When asked about her classroom, Mrs. Lee discussed the importance of routine and having a positive mindset for learning.

“One important daily routine I instill in my students is to recite the ARTIST Pledge. One part of the pledge states: As an artist, I pledge to try my best everyday.”

A: Always listen and follow directions
R: Raise my hand before speaking
T: Treat others and supplies with respect
I: Imagine my own ideas and be creative
S: Sit and stay in my seat
T: Take time to clean up my mess.

Bella, a Kindergarten student, stated “T is her favorite letter in the pledge, it is important to clean up the mess I make.”

Mrs. Lee can be found after school sketching a beautiful scene on the empty white boards spreading cheer.

Her current bulletin board encourages love for Sward and Swagle Spirit.  "The project includes: analogous colors, chalk pastel and starch to create our beautiful rainbow Swagles.” Mrs. Lee

Thank you Mrs. Lee, for all of the creative and colorful activities you provide for Sward students, your positive energy is contagious.
