We are "red"y for the Test!

Students are "red"y (ready for the test!

Every spring, grades 3-5 take the Illinois Assessment for Readiness (IAR).  IAR is a group of state-mandated tests that assess students’ knowledge of the Common Core State Standards in English Language Arts and Mathematics. The Sward community wanted to support and cheer on students to do their best. Students colored inspiration signs, practiced their belly breathing, and discussed other ways to relax and focus.

Additionally, all grades and staff participated in the fun and encouraging spirit days.

Day 1 was "RED"y for the test! Wear Red

Day 2 You are so BRIGHT! Wear Neon

Day 3 Get plenty of REST before the test! Pajama Day

Day 4 Testing is a TEAM effort! Wear sports or Sward gear

Day 5 Don’t SWEAT the test! Wear workout gear or sweats

We are so proud of our Sward Eagles. We are confident you took your time and did your best, leading by example.
