Welcome Future Eagles
The halls of Sward Elementary buzzed with excitement Thursday evening as families gathered for Kindergarten Orientation, held on May 22 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. The event welcomed parents and future kindergarteners who will be joining the Sward community of Eagles for the 2025–2026 school year.
The evening was split into two informative kindergarten presentations, allowing families to learn about the daily routine, curriculum, and expectations for the year ahead. Teachers shared insights into the nurturing and engaging environment that awaits the newest members of the school, while parents had the opportunity to ask questions and explore the classrooms their children will soon call home. Sward’s wonderful PTA shared information about membership and school supply kits. The children were invited to officially ‘sign” into the Sward community. The event was full of smiles and eager students.
“We were thrilled to welcome so many new families to our school,” said Mrs. Amra, Sward’s Principal. “It’s always a joy to see the excitement on our future Eagles’ faces. We’re truly looking forward to having them join the Sward community.”
Mrs. Derus shared her enthusiasm for the upcoming school year and the opportunity to begin building strong connections with the newest students and their families.
Sward Elementary is proud to welcome this bright group of learners and can’t wait to watch them grow, learn, and soar as Eagles.
