Sward Student Council
Last week, Sward Student Council proudly sponsored “Soup for the Super Bowl” in support of the Pilgrim Faith Food Pantry in Oak Lawn. From January 26 through February 6, students and families generously donated canned and dry goods to help stock the shelves for local families in need.
Each student who brought in a donation earned an eagle feather and had the opportunity to vote for the team they believed would win the Super Bowl. The friendly competition added excitement to the charitable effort and encouraged participation across grade levels.
Thanks to the incredible support of our Sward community, the food pantry received a wonderful collection of much-needed items. We are grateful to everyone who contributed and helped make this service project a success.
Congratulations to the Seattle Seahawks for winning the Super Bowl! Students who selected the Seahawks as the winning team received a celebratory pencil as a prize.
Mrs. Katalinic and Mrs. Coennen, Student Council sponsors, extend their heartfelt thanks to Sward families for showing generosity and school spirit while supporting our Oak Lawn community. Great job Eagles!
