Fourth graders brought history to life during their recent Wax Museum event, showcasing the knowledge and creativity they developed throughout their CKLA unit on inventors. Students selected influential inventors, researched their lives and contributions, and transformed into their chosen figures for an engaging, interactive experience.
Dressed in costume and standing beside detailed presentation boards, students proudly shared their learning with visitors. Each display highlighted key information about the inventor’s life, their inspiration, and the impact of their invention. From early ideas to final creations, students demonstrated a strong understanding that inventors follow a creative process, identifying problems and developing evidence-based solutions.
Throughout the unit, students explored how innovation requires curiosity, perseverance, and collaboration. Just like real inventors, they engaged in meaningful discussions, exchanged ideas, and worked together to deepen their understanding. The Wax Museum was a celebration of both their academic growth and their ability to think critically and creatively.
The event was a wonderful success, giving students the opportunity to shine as both researchers and presenters while inspiring others with the power of invention. Great job 4th Grade Team!
