Sward School staff and teachers are proudly showing their school spirit in a meaningful way by supporting local students, entrepreneurship, and community connections through newly designed spirit wear.
The new Sward Eagles apparel was created in partnership with the High 5 Heights Apparel program, a unique, student-led business within the Adult Transition Program at Community High School District 218. Established in 2014, High 5 Heights Apparel gives young adults the opportunity to gain real-world experience by running and operating their own business, from design and marketing to production and customer service.
Through this program, students develop valuable life and career skills, including communication, problem-solving, and entrepreneurship, while producing customized apparel for schools and organizations across the community.
Sward’s new design is a perfect example of that hands-on learning in action. The custom artwork was thoughtfully created by these hardworking young adults, who collaborated to bring the vision to life. From initial concept ideas to the final product, students played a direct role in designing and producing the spirit wear now proudly worn by Sward staff.
The result is more than just a new look, it’s a symbol of connection. Every sweatshirt represents the dedication of student designers who are building skills for their future while contributing something meaningful to the community.
Sward teachers and staff have embraced the new gear with enthusiasm, showcasing their “Sward Pride” throughout the building. Whether in classrooms, hallways, or school events, spirit wear serves as a visible reminder of unity and support, not only for their own school, but for the students behind the business.
