The second trimester has come and gone for the 2021/2022 school year and the third grade team at Hannum thought this was something to celebrate. Students have worked very hard these past couple years and teachers wanted to recognize their growth and accomplisments. On Valentine's Day, Mrs. Fitzgibbon, Mrs. Zweig, and Mrs. Paluch wanted to foster the students "love" for reading, so they invited students to bring books , a blanket, and stuff animal to school. After gym, they spread out around the classroom and set up their blankets and stuffed animals. They read to partners, read to themselves, did some flashlight reading, and even had some extra time to do themed activities with friends. It was evident they had a good time because students were begging for another reading day. Who knew that the best way to celebrate would be to snuggle up with a good book?
