Spread Kindness

Our bulletin board made by Miss Turek

"When given the choice between being right and being kind, choose kind."-Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

Last week was a week full of kindness in District 123. Along with many themed days, classrooms around Hannum completed kindness challenges. All of the first grade teachers challenged their students to complete 100 acts of kindness. Some of the acts of kindness that are being displayed in the hall include "I helped my mom," and, "I shared pizza with my sister." Third grade students also completed random acts of kindness daily including holding the door for a classmate or creating a Valentine's Day card for our custodians. The entire school showed their commitment to kindness week by participating in our spirit days.  Some of these days included hat day for "Hats off to Kindness," jersey day for "Being a Good Sport," and pajama day. It was a wonderful week and the students really enjoyed our week of kindness.
