Parading and Growing

Students showing off their growth parade posters.

With grade level picnics, field day, 5th grade recoginition, and end of the year countdowns taking place, the end of the school year is always busy for students and teachers. In order to slow down and reflect, we dedicated some time to our end of the year Hannum Growth Parade. For the parade, each student was given a poster. Students were asked to reflect on their year and to write something they accomplished or learned. Posters stated things such as, "I learned how to read!" and "I learned how to multiply and divide!"  On May 30, 2023, students paraded around Hannum school showing off the many thing they have accomplished this year. Parents and commutity members took pictures and cheered as students walked by. Our growth parade not only allows students to celebrate themselves, but it also allows the whole Hannum community to celebrate every child's achievements!
