5th grade patrol goes to Hollywood Park
Thirteen responsible fifth graders at Hannum School earned a special celebration this week after a year of service as members of the Patrol Guard. Selected by their fourth grade teachers for consistently demonstrating responsibility and leadeship, these students proudly rotated their posts at the kindergarten, second grade, and 4/5 grade doors, as well as in the parking lot throughout the school year.
Patrol is considered a rite of passage for Hannum's oldest students, giving them a chance to lead by example and support daily school routines. To honor their commitment, Mr. Strickland accompanied the patrol members on a fun and well-deserved field trip to Hollywood Park. From arcade games to indoor rides, the outing was a great reward for a year of dedication. Being a part of this honorable group is no small task, and the celebration at Hollywood Park was a fitting send-off for these student leaders as they prepare for they next chapter at the middle school.
