Miss Moore's MAP-tastic Bear Goals chart posted in her classroom
As we return from an Arctic blast and extended weekend, students will be taking the NWEA Winter MAP test in both math and reading. This important benchmark serves as a mid-year "check-in" to show how much students have grown so far and to help teachers identify who may need additional support in math, reading, or both. Teachers have been working with students on goal setting and creating incentives, so students know exactly what they are aiming for and why. To do their best, students are encouraged to come prepared with fully charged laptops, take their time, read each question carefully, and give thoughtful answers. Punch cards will be given to recognize student effort, and our 5th grade classes are working toward a class goal of an average growth of 3 points in ELA and 5 points in math. This is everyone's chance to truly show off their learning and all the hard work they've put in this year. Ready, set, grow!!
