Kindness Week in Action

Buddy classrooms shared kind words and celebrated friendship during our Kindness Week activities.

We kicked off Kindness Week with excitement and school spirit as our entire community came together to celebrate the power of kindness. Throughout the week, students participated in themed spirit days that reminded us how small acts can make a big difference. From wearing workout gear to “work out” problems with kindness, to sporting favorite hats and team apparel, and finishing the week in red, pink, and white to show that kindness makes your heart grow, our school was filled with positivity and pride. As part of our celebration, students met with their buddy classrooms and completed the “Fill Your Cup with Kindness” activity. Together, students reflected on ways they can show kindness at school, at home, and in their community. They shared ideas, wrote thoughtful messages, and encouraged one another through positive words and actions. Teachers also chose from the read-alouds and other activities included in the presentation to use during this time. These stories and discussions sparked meaningful conversations about empathy, teamwork, and respect. It was a special opportunity for older and younger students to connect, build relationships, and strengthen our school community through simple acts of kindness. We wrapped up Kindness Week with Friendship Parties held during gym classes. With the help of our wonderful parent volunteers, students enjoyed fun activities, games, and time to celebrate friendship together. It was the perfect way to end the week, surrounded by laughter, connection, and the true spirit of kindness.
