A slam dunk night of fun and learning.
Our school recently hosted an exciting Math Night with a fun “Math Madness” basketball theme! Families and students came together for an evening full of engaging math activities designed to build skills while having fun. The building was transformed into a basketball-inspired learning arena, with staff members dressed as referees in striped shirts and whistles, guiding students through the action. Students rotated through different basketball-themed math stations that focused on skills such as dice roll addition, ten frames, number before and after, and multiplication and division. The games were designed specifically for different grade levels, with stations tailored for K-2 and 3-5 students, so everyone could participate at the right level. As students moved from station to station, they collected stamps on their punch cards. After completing six games, students were able to turn in their cards and receive a prize! The energy in the room was incredible as students “dribbled” their way through math challenges and celebrated their successes. Thank you to all the families who joined us and to our amazing staff who helped make Math Madness such a slam dunk! We loved seeing our students excited about learning and showing off their math skills.
