Finished Volcano research by Mrs. Moran's students
Our fourth graders continued an exciting Geology unit with creative "Volcano Wiki Entries" and colorful hand-drawn posters! Students researched active volcanoes like Mauna Loa (Hawaii), Mount Fuji (Japan), Mount Saint Helens and Mount Vesuvius (Italy) — writing clear facts and illustrating what they learned.
Students researched the volcano's name, location, the type (active, dormant, or extinct), last eruption date and a description. The information was put together to form a descriptive paragraph. Finally, posters were created with a picture of the important facts that were learned.
