Our 8 DARE Speakers!
Excitement filled the gym this morning as 5th grade students proudly celebrated their DARE Graduation! DARE, which stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education, teaches students important life skills to help them make safe and smart choices. Throughout the program, students learned about the dangers of drugs and alcohol, how to resist peer pressure, ways to handle stress, and how to make responsible decisions. One of the biggest lessons students learned was how important it is to choose positive friendships, stand up for themselves, and make healthy choices. At the graduation ceremony, students were recognized for completing the program and for their hard work during lessons. Teachers and staff proudly cheered them on as they received their certificates.
As part of the celebration, eight students, two from each 5th grade class, reflected on what they learned throughout the DARE program. They shared how important it is to choose good friends, avoid negative influences, say no to peer pressure, and think carefully before making decisions. Students also discussed how these lessons can help them later in life by making safe, smart, and healthy choices. DARE Graduation was a special milestone for the 5th graders as they celebrated everything they learned and the valuable lessons they will carry with them into the future. Congratulations to all of our graduates for completing this important program!
