Pack the House!

The Jr. Jordans basketball team had fans standing on their feet and cheering the entire event!

The 12th Annual Special Recreation All-Star Games took place on Saturday, January 22, 2022. #OLHMS and #D123 were proud to host this event for the third year at Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle School! Doors opened at 12 pm and the gymnasium was flooded with fans. The stands were packed with family, friends, students, Oak Lawn first responders, and other community members ready to cheer on their favorite athletes, including Oak Lawn’s very own Jr. Jordans and Eagles basketball teams. Many current and former D123 students participated in the games. The OLHMS cheerleaders cheered from the sidelines while the OLHMS band performed outstanding musical numbers. NJHS and Student Ambassadors volunteered their time to make the event run smoothly. Five games were played each with 4 quarters. There was also a special half-time performance from the Oak Lawn Pep Squad! The event also included a TV raffle and split the pot. Even behind masks, you could see so many happy faces reuniting with old friends.
