PBIS and Second Step at OLHMS

Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123 utilizes the PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) program to collect data on behavior trends and issues that are affecting the student population. Through this data collection, the Universal team will create different behavior interventions, better known as Cool Tools, to address and educate the students on the necessary topics.

The District also utilizes the Second Step program, a social-emotional curriculum, to proactively teach students about different social and emotional strategies that can be utilized throughout their academic and social lives.
