Our OLHMS boys basketball not only played well during the regular season, but they are crushing the competition as they continue to advance in the SWIC tournament. During the regular season, the 6/7th grade boys basketball team lost to Orland Jr. High by a few buckets. With nothing but redemption and a championship on their mind, the Mustangs had a three point, nail-biter win yesterday against Orland Jr. High, which allowed them to advance to the championship game this Saturday, March 12th. Mateo and Logan dominated the game from start to finish to help the Mustangs pull away and win. For our 8th grade boys basketball team, they play tonight at 6:15pm against Palos here at OLHMS to, hopefully, advance to the championship game this Saturday, March 12th. The Mustangs only have three regular season losses, one of them being against the Cardinals. In the last game against Palos, Jack, Justin, and Martice helped the Mustangs stay afloat and played their hearts out with their teammates until the buzzer.
