Trimester 2 Celebration

Trimester 2 Celebration

Last Thursday, February 23rd, OLHMS held an all-school assembly for students’ hard work and dedication they showed throughout Trimester 2! The OLHMS Administration Team and PBIS Universal Team collaborated and wanted students to be rewarded for their academic efforts.

During this three period rotation, each grade level had the opportunity to go to the gym to compete against one another in the OLHMS Winter Olympic Games! In every grade level, 12 advisories, 10 students from each advisory, participated in the OLHMS Winter Olympics, which consisted of Gaga Ball, Hockey Shot, Speed Skating, and Bag Toss. During the Olympic Games, students competed and had a great time with one another. When 8th grade student Jake was asked what his favorite part about the Olympic Games was, he said “I really loved playing Gaga Ball and watching Speed Skating. I remember the participating in the Olympic Games last year, and I was so happy to hear that we were doing it again this year.” 8th grade student Lila said that, “I loved this Trimester 2 celebration because we have an opportunity to take a break and celebrate our hard work throughout the trimester. OLHMS students had a blast participating in and watching the Olympic Games, and we are proud of all their hard work and dedication!
