OLHMS Students Give Back to Community on Annual Service Learning Day

Students at Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle School (OLHMS) are participating in the school's annual Service Learning Day on April 28, volunteering their time and efforts to impact their community in a positive way.

The activities throughout the day included volunteering at nearby parks, collecting food for a food drive, assisting at the local library, and visiting District 123 elementary schools to read to younger students.  OLHMS students and staff are participating in the event, which aims to promote the importance of community involvement and to help teach students the value of giving back.
