Last Friday, our OLHMS Lady Mustangs started their SWIC Conference play. In the first round, our Lady Mustangs went up against Conrady and had a big win. From the start of the game, the Mustang’s bats were alive and brought in 16 runs within the first 5 innings. As a collective team, everyone hit the ball well, played together, and dominated their competition. Not only was our Lady Mustang’s offense impeccable, but their defense was stellar. Within the 5 innings of the game, the Lady Mustangs held Conrady to a few hits and 0 runs. When Sophia was asked what the conference tournament means to her, she said “Playing in the conference tournament is everything! We get to demonstrate all of our hard work and effort, and we get to play together as a team to win a championship.” The Lady Mustangs hope to maintain this positive energy and apply it to the rest of their conference play.
