Students at OLHMS Witness Rare Total Solar Eclipse

Excitement filled OLHMS as students gathered outside to witness a rare total solar eclipse. With protective glasses, they watched in awe as the moon passed in front of the sun, casting a shadow over our magnificent building. Under the guidance of OLHMS teachers, staff, and administration, students observed the eclipse's progression and learned about its scientific significance during their science classes.

As the sun was momentarily obscured at 2:07 pm, leaving only a glowing outline, cheers erupted from the crowd. Cameras clicked capturing memories of this once-in-a-lifetime event. The eclipse left a lasting impression on the students, sparking a newfound curiosity for the wonders of the universe. 6th grader Lorenzo S. shouted with excitement, “It looks like a glowing banana!” As the sun emerged once more, students returned to their classrooms, buzzing with excitement and eager to share their eclipse experience with their peers.
