The newest herd of Mustangs has officially galloped into OLHMS, and they’re already making their mark! Our 6th graders kicked things off with an all-school assembly, where excitement buzzed through the gym as they officially began their middle school adventure.
One of the highlights of their first weeks was meeting the amazing Mrs. McCarthy, OLHMS’s media specialist. She welcomed them into the media center and showed them all the exciting things waiting for them there—from exploring the brand-new library system to discovering fun activities and resources. She also introduced them to one of OLHMS’s favorite traditions: the 6K Walk for Literacy, a Mustang-powered event that brings reading and community spirit together.
But perhaps most impressive of all, our newest Mustangs have already tackled two of middle school’s biggest challenges—mastering their lockers and navigating the hallways. In just a few short weeks, they’ve become pros at spinning combinations and finding their way around every twist and turn of the building.
With curiosity, energy, and plenty of Mustang pride, the Class of 2028 is ready to LEVEL UP at OLHMS!
