Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time dedicated to spreading awareness and supporting those affected by breast cancer. Beginning October 1st, the 8th grade class is hosting a Pink Out Competition to honor the cause. Each Wednesday in October, advisories will compete to see which group wears the most pink. From shirts and accessories to ribbons and socks, students are encouraged to show their support through their outfits. The advisory that wears the most pink each week will earn a special prize as a sweet reward for their participation and spirit, which will be pink glazed donuts!

In recognition of the month, pink ribbons have also been placed on every teacher’s name plate throughout the hallways. These ribbons serve as a symbol of strength, hope, and unity in the ongoing fight against breast cancer.

Together, these efforts highlight the importance of awareness, compassion, and community support in the fight against breast cancer.
