The OLHMS girls’ basketball teams are off to an exciting start in the postseason, showcasing teamwork, determination, and Mustang pride. The 6th/7th-grade team opened the playoffs with an impressive win over Conrady, battling with energy and focus to secure their spot in the next round. Despite a tough matchup in the second round, the Lady Mustangs fell to Jerling by just two points. Even in the loss, the team demonstrated strong effort, resilience, and unity on the court. They now look forward to facing Century today at Orland Jr. High School and are eager to bounce back with another strong performance.
Meanwhile, the 8th-grade Lady Mustangs continue their undefeated season, standing at an outstanding 12–0. Their record earned them a first-round bye, and they kept their momentum going by defeating Orland Jr. High School in the second round of the tournament. The team is focused and ready for their next challenge this Thursday against Palos South, where they hope to secure a spot in the Championship game this Saturday. With their hard work and unstoppable team chemistry, the Lady Mustangs are determined to finish their season strong. Go Mustangs!
