Our 8th grade students recently had the exciting opportunity to participate in Step-Up Day at Richards High School and Oak Lawn Community High School. The visits gave students a glimpse into what their high school experience will look like next year.
At Richards, students were welcomed with energetic performances by the band and a cappella groups. They were then divided into smaller groups to tour the building and visit a variety of classrooms, learning about academic programs and extracurricular activities.
At OLCHS, students also enjoyed a band performance before touring the school. A highlight of the visit was a Q&A session with a student panel, where 8th graders could ask questions and hear firsthand about high school life.
Sean shared, “This was a great day and I really enjoyed touring my future school- I'm excited for what’s next!”
Overall, Step-Up Day was an exciting and informative experience, helping students feel confident and prepared for their next chapter!
