OLHMS proudly hosted the SWIC Conference Boys Basketball Tournament for the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade teams, bringing together talented student-athletes from across the conference for an exciting competition. Throughout the tournament, both OLHMS teams demonstrated determination, teamwork, and strong sportsmanship as they competed against several conference opponents.
The 6th and 7th grade boys team worked hard throughout the tournament and showed great resilience on the court. After battling through their games, the team advanced to the consolation championship, where they secured a strong victory over Grissom to claim the consolation title. Their teamwork, effort, and determination were on full display as they represented OLHMS with pride.
The highlight of the event came from the 8th grade team, who delivered an outstanding performance and ultimately captured the SWIC Conference Championship with a victory over Simmons in the championship game. The team’s dedication and hard work throughout the season paid off in an exciting finish.
Several individual players were also recognized for their outstanding play. Jase and JR earned SWIC All-Conference honors for their strong performances during the tournament. In addition, Jase was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP), recognizing his leadership and impact on the court.
