Recently, members of the OLHMS staff, along with an OLHMS alum, came together to serve families at the Ronald McDonald House, an organization that offers comfort and support to families with children undergoing serious medical treatment. Often described as a “home away from home,” the Ronald McDonald House provides families with a place to stay, warm meals, and a caring environment during some of life’s most difficult moments.
During their visit, our volunteers dedicated their evening to preparing and serving dinner for the families staying there. From grocery shopping and meal preparation to cooking and cleanup, every step was completed with kindness and teamwork. The meal included baked beans, potatoes, salad, sloppy joes, deviled eggs, brownies, and cupcakes.
This experience reflects the generosity and heart of the OLHMS community. It serves as a reminder that simple acts of service and compassion can have a lasting impact and bring comfort to those who need it most.
