On Monday, May 18th and Tuesday, May 19th, OLHMS 8th grade students took part in an exciting college visit to Moraine Valley Community College.
Upon arrival, students were warmly welcomed by Moraine Valley staff and students, helping to create an inviting atmosphere right from the start. The visit began in the Student Success Center, where students learned about the many opportunities available at a community college, including academic programs, course pathways, and ways to earn scholarships.
Following the introduction, students split into smaller groups and participated in guided campus tours led by Moraine Valley professors and student ambassadors. This gave them a firsthand look at college life, facilities, and the wide range of resources available to support student success. Thank you to Moraine Valley for hosting our 8th grade students and providing such a meaningful experience!
