2nd Graders Take on the Morton Arboretum!

On Friday, September 26th, second-grade students and their teachers kicked off their first field trip of the school year with an exciting outdoor adventure! To tie in with their science lessons, the kids got to explore trees up close and learn all about what helps them grow and thrive. They’ve been studying the life cycle of trees and how animals play a big role in spreading seeds to help new trees grow. During the trip, students had the chance to touch different types of leaves, observe nature firsthand, and see everything they’ve been learning come to life. It was a fun, hands-on experience that brought science out of the classroom and into the real world—what a great day for our second graders!
