4th Graders Take on the Field Museum

On Thursday, December 11, fourth-grade students traded their classrooms for dinosaur bones and ancient fossils during an exciting field trip to the Field Museum. The trip tied directly into their CKLA Geology Unit, giving students the chance to see rocks, fossils, and Earth’s history up close. As they explored the museum, students were amazed by towering exhibits, fascinating fossils, and hands-on displays that brought their learning to life. From discovering prehistoric creatures to uncovering clues about the Earth’s past, students stayed engaged and curious throughout the day. The Field Museum visit helped turn textbook lessons into unforgettable experiences and sparked excitement for science and discovery. The fourth graders returned to school full of stories, new knowledge, and a deeper appreciation for geology—proof that learning can be both educational and fun.
