Spring Has Sprung at Kolmar!

On Thursday, May 21st, Kolmar Elementary’s annual spring concert filled the gymnasium with music, showcasing the incredible talents of our 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students. It was an unforgettable evening of high-energy performances and crowd interaction!

The night kicked off with the 4th and 5th-grade chorus. Though a small ensemble, they brought massive energy to the stage. Following their opening sets, the rest of the 5th-grade class joined in for a few special numbers—including a lively performance of the Mexican folk song "Las Machetes," where students expertly showed off their rhythm using rhythm sticks. It was a wonderful final performance for the 5th graders to share before heading off to middle school.

Next up, the 4th-grade students truly rocked the house. They performed three songs, highlighted by an amazing rendition of Queen’s "We Will Rock You" played entirely on recorders, which had the entire crowd clapping along to the beat.

Closing out the night, the 3rd-grade students swayed to the music and brought beautiful harmony to the stage. They worked together flawlessly, accompanying their singing with various classroom instruments for their three songs.

A huge thank you to Mrs. Brodsky for her hard work and dedication in preparing our intermediate students for such a stellar concert. Kolmar could not have done it without you!
