With the temps dropping the days of indoor recess are rising. When Mr. Creech announces that there will be indoor recess the school is filled with a mix of groans and excited shouts. As with anything there are pros and cons to having indoor recess, and here at Kolmar students are pretty split down the middle with their opinions. Caitlin in 4th grade said “I like indoor recess better because we get to make things like crafts, which we can’t do outside.” Another reason indoor recess is a favorite for some students is they have time to finish up work or play a game on their Chromebook. “I like outdoor recess the best because it gives me time to actually run around and I love to play football with my friends.” Jax in 4th grade said. Another reason outdoor recess is the winner for a lot of students is they get a lot of choices in their activities. But whether students prefer indoor or outdoor recess they all agreed on one thing- any recess is better than no recess, and that it is the best time of the day!
