Last week Kolmar students had a blast at their “Mousetrap” assembly. Mr. Smarty Pants, the assembly leader, helped them learn all about different simple machines. Students learned about how simple machines work, what they look like, and where they might find them in their everyday lives! Mr. Smarty Pants used balloons to help students understand, which was a big hit. Many students got a chance to volunteer and everyone walked away smiling and a little more knowledgeable than when they first sat down. Ultimately, Kolmar students were able to work together, with the help of simple machines of course, and trap the (pretend) mouse that had been wreaking havoc in the halls!
