On Saturday, April 26, the OLHMS Concert Band showcased their musical talent at Lockport East High School during the Illinois Grade School Music Association (IGSMA) District VI State Contest. Under the direction of Mrs. Beth Lyons and Mr. John Kehl, our talented Mustang musicians performed a challenging and exciting program, which included American Dream Concert March by Ken Harris, Joy by Frank Ticheli, and Shaker Variants by Elliot del Borgo.
Their hard work, dedication, and passion for music paid off as the Concert Band proudly earned a Superior Rating, the highest distinction awarded at the event!
