Founded in 1929 by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is a distinguished organization built on five core values: scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. These pillars have continued to guide and inspire its members for nearly a century.
On Thursday, May 1st, OLHMS proudly held its annual NJHS Induction Ceremony. The event began with the Pledge of Allegiance and welcoming remarks from NJHS President Addison Wolski, OLHMS Principal Dr. Sean McNichols, and District 123 Superintendent Dr. Paul Enderle. Attendees heard thoughtful reflections as student representatives spoke about each of the five pillars that define NJHS. The ceremony concluded with the formal induction of 67 new members, who recited the Group Pledge led by Dr. McNichols.
We are incredibly proud of all our NJHS members- both current and newly inducted- for their outstanding leadership, academic dedication, and commitment to serving others. Special thanks to our NJHS Advisors, Mrs. Owens, Mr. Mamolella, and Ms. Danos, for their ongoing guidance and hard work throughout the year.
