On Tuesday, June 3rd, OLHMS held its annual 8th Grade Awards Assembly, honoring the exceptional efforts, commitment, and resilience demonstrated by our 8th grade students. The gymnasium was filled with proud families and loved ones, all eager to celebrate the achievements of our students. The ceremony began with the Pledge of Allegiance and continued with recognition from representatives of Brother Rice, Mother McAuley, Marist, Richards, and Oak Lawn High Schools, who awarded scholarships to deserving students.
Recognition was also given to students involved in Ambassadors, National Junior Honor Society, Band, and Chorus. Additional honors included Student of the Month recipients, Mustang Award winners, SWIC Female and Male Athletes of the Year, and the prestigious OLHMS Pride Award. It was a morning marked by pride, celebration, and inspiration.
We are so proud of all of our students, and cannot wait to see where they go in the future!
