On Thursday, September 4th, our 7th and 8th grade girls’ and boys’ cross country teams laced up their sneakers and headed over to Simmons Middle School for a friendly practice meet. The sun was shining, the course was ready, and the runners were buzzing with excitement (and maybe just a few nerves).
From the starting line, it was all about pacing, determination, and cheering each other on. Every stride showed off the hard work our Mustangs have been putting in during practice. Some powered up hills, others sprinted the straights, and everyone crossed the finish line with grit and Mustang pride.
This meet wasn’t about medals or trophies—it was about learning the course, building confidence, and having fun as a team. With this strong start, our cross country runners are more than ready to take on the season ahead. Way to go, Mustangs!
