Mark your calendars! The annual OLHMS 6K Walk for Literacy will take place on Saturday, October 18th at 9:00 a.m. This year’s walk will support the Tinogona Foundation to help build a library at Musukwi Primary School in Zimbabwe. Students have already received pledge sheets, but the event is open to everyone—D123 staff, students, alumni, families, and community members are all welcome to participate.
Organized by Mrs. Heather McCarthy, OLHMS Media Specialist, the 6K isn’t just about walking—it’s about coming together as a community to make a difference. Plus, there’s some friendly competition! The advisory with the most participation and the advisory that raises the most money will each win a gaming session in the library.
And that’s not all—thanks to Paisans Pizza, the top 35 students who raise the most money will enjoy a special pizza party!
Let’s make this year’s walk the biggest one yet. Please participate in the OLHMS 6K Walk for Literacy and support this wonderful cause!
