On Friday, October 10th, District 123 hosted its annual Retirement Luncheon in the inviting OLHMS Media Center. This cherished tradition, made possible through the generous support of the Ed Foundation, honors the dedicated educators and administrators who have given so much of their time and talent to our schools. This year, we were delighted to recognize about 40 retired D123 staff members.
For this special occasion, the Media Center was transformed into a festive Carnival scene. As guests arrived, 8th Grade Ambassadors offered a warm welcome and guided them to their seats. The room featured a cheerful “Step Right Up” sign, a vibrant balloon display perfect for photos, and tables decorated with playful Carnival games, popcorn-themed centerpieces, and meaningful gifts for each retiree. Throughout the luncheon, the Ambassadors provided great service, ensuring that every guest felt appreciated and celebrated.
Our sincere thanks go to the Ed Foundation for organizing and sponsoring this memorable event, to the 8th Grade Ambassadors for their kindness and professionalism, and most importantly, to our remarkable retirees whose dedication has left a lasting legacy within District 123.
