Last Thursday and Friday, District 123 proudly held its annual Fall Family Conferences, bringing together teachers, students, and families for meaningful conversations centered on growth and achievement. At OLHMS, conferences took place from 5:00–8:00 p.m. on Thursday and 11:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m. on Friday, providing parents and guardians valuable time to meet with their child’s Advisory and encore teachers to reflect on progress and set goals for the remainder of the semester.
To make the event even more special, our amazing PTSA went above and beyond by offering a delicious assortment of bagels, coffee cakes, fruit, veggies, and having Barraco's on Friday as a heartfelt “thank you” to our dedicated staff.
Throughout both days, our exceptional 8th Grade Student Ambassadors volunteered their time to greet families, assist with directions, and share details about upcoming school happenings, such as the High School Fair on October 23rd and the Veterans Day Assembly on November 7th. Their leadership and hospitality truly helped make the event run smoothly.
In addition, OLHMS is thrilled to continue supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Donation efforts for our spring fundraiser are already underway, and we’re excited to see our school community come together once again for this meaningful cause.
This year’s Fall Family Conferences were a success, filled with connection, collaboration, and Mustang pride. We can’t wait to welcome our families back in the spring for another round of inspiring conversations and celebrations of student success!
