On Friday, November 21st, the entire OLHMS community came together for a joyful Trimester 1 Celebration—an afternoon filled with friendly competition, big smiles, and well-earned recognition. Students from every advisory and grade level showed off their teamwork and school spirit as they rotated through three high-energy challenges: a three-person hula hoop race, a fast-paced Hungry Hungry Hippos competition, and the fan-favorite pizza box knockout.
The excitement didn’t stop with students—teachers jumped into the action, too! Staff members faced off against one another (and brave students!) in pizza box knockout, filling the gym with laughter and loud cheers. Another highlight of the day was the Admin Raffle, where students who earned zero discipline referrals during Trimester 1 were entered for a chance to win a gift card of their choice. Their hard work, positive choices, and leadership were celebrated by the entire school.
The event was the perfect way to honor students’ accomplishments from the first trimester. With music playing, teams cheering, and smiles all around, the celebration was a lively send-off into Thanksgiving break. OLHMS students and staff wrapped up the trimester with pride, positivity, and plenty of school spirit!
