In District 123, technology is a tool that is utilized to provide students with dynamic learning opportunities.

Technology plays a critical role in the learning process for our students. District 123 believes not in the teaching of specific technology skills for the sake of exclusively acquiring technology proficiency, but rather, we believe that technology can serve as a vital conduit to help students learn how to learn. In doing so, gain an understanding of foundational learning skills and content knowledge.

District 123 equips each student in preschool through eighth grade with a device during the school day. Students in grades three through eight will also have the opportunity to take the device home with them each evening. Ensuring that each child has access to the materials outside of the school day is an important part of the D123 learning experience. D123 teachers receive a variety of professional development that helps build the necessary pedagogy in order to effectively utilize technology to create powerful learning experiences both in and outside the classroom for our students.

All the technology integrated as part of our 1:1 program does not supplant the core foundational learning skills already being addressed through our curriculum, but rather, allows students to learn both the foundational and technological skills necessary to succeed in the 21st century.

All students will need to have the signed Technology and Internet Responsible Use Agreement completed on the first day of school.  Your student will not be able to receive their Chromebook without the completion of this form (page 9 of the Student Registration Packet).

This form is part of the Returning Student Registration  process.  If you have not completed this process, please login to your Family Access account and complete it now.
