Welcome Leo Cassidy to District 123

Leo Cassidy

The District 123 Board of Education would like to welcome our new Director of Operations, Leo Cassidy to the District 123 community. With the upcoming retirement of current Director of Buildings & Grounds Paul Andersen. On Monday night, the District 123 Board of Education approved the new Director of Operations position.

“This new role will encompass direct leadership and supervision over two significant branches of responsibility in District 123, the Buildings and Grounds Department and Human Resources Development. Initially, the responsibilities will be more weighted toward our Buildings and Grounds Department in order to maintain and build upon the high standards that have been in place historically. Additional leadership support within human resources will assist us in both enhancing our ability to recruit quality future candidates in all areas, as well as shore up internal routing and processing practices,” said Superintendent Paul J. Enderle.

Cassidy comes to District 123 from Olivet Nazarene University where over the past decade he has lead recruitment, development, and strategic leadership efforts to grow university enrollment.  Additionally, he earned his Bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University and his MBA from Olivet Nazarene University.

Cassidy will begin a transition process alongside Paul Andersen this spring at District 123 and is excited to get to know members of the Buildings & Grounds team, while actively capturing critical knowledge about our system throughout the process.
