The sock pile at Covington grows every day!
As part of Random Acts of Kindness Week at Oak Lawn-Hometown District 123 from February 19 through February 22 students are taking the extra step by showing kindness to those less fortunate right here in our community. Each school is collecting new socks to donate to a local charity.
“This is just something small we can do to show kindness in our community and not just at our schools. It’s wonderful to get all of District 123 involved in helping our neighbors,” said Sarah McIntyre, a teacher at Covington School.
The school that collects the most socks by the end of the school day Friday, will get a special prize!
